Damned Liar

There are three kinds of lies, Mark Twain once said: Lies, damn lies and statistics. And George W. Bush is three kinds of a liar: A liar, a damned liar and a statistically-proven liar.

Bush stood in front of reporters in Mississippi Monday and lied outright when he claimed he did not know embattled FEMA director Mike Brown had thrown in the towel and resigned. In fact, Bush gave Brown the towel and told him to throw it or hang himself with it. He had demanded Brown's resignation and knew before he landed in the Gulf states that he had it. Only problem was, he told Homeland Security secretary Michael Chertoff to delay the announcement until after the photo op trip to the the hurricane ravaged areas of Mississippi and New Orleans. Dubya doesn't like competition when it comes to staging news events.

But Brown, pissed at being forced out, went ahead and released his resignation to the media. When confronted by reporters, Bush does whaat he always does when faced with a situation not scripted in advance by his handlers -- he lied.

Bush and his cronies lie routinely. They should be impeached for economic malfeasance (war in Iraq), social malfeasance (No Child Left Behind and destruction of the social welfare system) and impoverishing this nation. He and his gang are no better than gangsters. Here in PA it will be interesting to see how many people die this winter when their heat turned off because they can't pay the $600/mo...or who, trying to not spend that money, turn their thermostats down to 50 and so then die from hypothermia. I guess that is one way to get rid of "old people" who aren't making a social security contribution but only "take, take, take" as one conservative said it recently...that person was once a friend of mine.

Again, a flapping mouth with out a shred of proof. Here's this left wing flier trying desperately to undermine the presidency of the United States. The mouth piece probably has Islamic ties since he has no proof or anything other than his opinion and we all know opinions are like assholes... everybody has one. The biggest difference here is this "OPINION" has no grounds on which to base his claim but yet write as though it's factual. Here is a factual comment:
You have no proof so there fore you are LYING to forward your causes which are NOT in the best interest of the united states! Put your proof out there ya coward.. better yet put your name on it so we can see what other lies you spew.

and yes once again I am
Repulsed

Dear Repulsed...

You said, and I quote: "The mouth piece probably has Islamic ties since he has no proof or anything other than his opinion."
If I may be so bold, where might *your* proof be for the first part of that statement -- that is, other than the reflexive knee-jerk assumption of people like you that anyone who dares criticize Bush must be a terrorist? (Let's not even go into the implication in your comment that anyone who engages in terrorist activity is a Muslim and that anyone who's a Muslim is a would-be terrorist). These claims likewise represent your opinion, not established fact -- and you're only contradicting yourself by using these as the crux of your argument. Seems to me that there's more than one "flapping mouth without a shred of proof" around here...

Mr. Pot -- meet Mr. Kettle!

The Bluestocking

This is certainly the poorest type of reporting. Not one shred of proof is offered--just words strung together and thrown out to the masses. Sadly, the ignorant don't know that what they are reading is someone's ideological agenda and not
"news".
