Lots of sickos out there. In Battle Creek, Mich., home of cereal, a public safety officer is charged with taking nude pictures of a 16-year-old girl.
The officer, Kyle Rae Chaney, 39, faces felony counts of child sexually abusive activity, possession of child sexually abusive material, accosting a child for immoral purposes and second-degree child abuse.
Chaney was named Albion Public Safety Officer of the Year in May. The department's Web site described him as "a 14-year veteran whose hard work and long-standing dedication helped him earn the honor."
Yeah, right. Over in Camden, New Jersey, a 51-year-old social worker is under arrest for sexually assaulting an 8-year-old girl.
Police say Bruce Fitzgerald sexually touched and took nude photos of the girl.
Please don't equate that disgusting pervert Kyle Chaney with Battle Creek and especially with our famous cereal connection. He is a Public Safety Officer in Albion, MI which is about 30 miles east of Battle Creek. The article just ran in our Battle Creek paper. It also ran in the Jackson Citizen Patriot and The Detroit News but you didn't connect him with those cities. Thanks for letting me set it straight.
