Be careful where you buy a house in North Carolina because the state's association of Realtors advises its members to not tell prospective home buyers they may be moving into the neighborhood of a known sex offender.
The law says they don't have to, says John Pace, a Raleigh Realtor. Besides, such information might prevent a sale.
"You could move into a property and a sexual offender could move right beside you, so I don't know how you control it," Pace said.
Yeah, right.
